Ignite captures the best of culture - IT related in Brussels - in a series of five-minute speed presentations on topics ranging from IT governance to security to ...
Imagine that you're on stage in front of an audience, doing a five-minute presentation using a slide deck (TEMPOCODE) that auto-forwards every 15 seconds, whether you're ready or not. What would you do ? What would you say ? Similar to Pecha Kucha Night dedicated to transdisciplinarity in Brussels, Ignite Brussels, launched by Alok Nandi, works on a thematic approach, in collaboration with Georges Ataya.
The concept: each speaker has 5 minutes for a presentation in 20 images. Each image is on screen for only 15 seconds. No more, no less.
20 images x 15 seconds each x 10 speakers. Tempo. Story. Tension.
IT Management Education at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management organises executive education in IT Management, Information Security Management, ICT Audit and Assurance and Enterprise Governance of IT. Executive Master and Executive programs are lectured over one or two years on evening or day classes, in Brussels and in English.

Ignite was started in Seattle in 2006 by Brady Forrest of O’Reilly Radar and Bre Pettis of Make. Since then hundreds of five minute talks have been given across the world. Besides Seattle, there are thriving Ignite communities in Portland, Sydney, NYC and a lot more. The idea is simple: presenters are required to stick to a rigid format of 20 slides, each of which changes automatically after 15 seconds, ensuring that each presentation is exactly 5 minutes long. The format forces presenters to think long and hard about every slide.
